Permanent Cosmetic Makeup

Dear Valued Clients,

As some of you may already know, I and other Permanent Cosmetic Technicians in Georgia have been hindered in our abilities to provide permanent eyebrow and eyeliner procedures.  This is due to an old State regulation stating that only physicians are allowed to tattoo within one inch of the eye.  Of interest, Georgia is the only State with such a law or regulation.

An attempt is currently underway with House Bill 92 to change the above outdated section of the law to allow for Permanent Cosmetic Technicians to provide those procedures that fall within one inch of the eye.

For those of you that have experienced these procedures, the positive changes that they have made to make you not only feel better about your appearance, but also make your life easier is evident.  I am asking for your support in this matter so that others may enjoy the benefits of Permanent Cosmetics provided by skilled Permanent Makeup Technicians at an affordable cost.

Please call your State Representative or email them with a simple message to support H.B.92.  I am enclosing a list of State Representative with their phone numbers. Each email address is the Representative’s first name followed by a period, then last name @ house.ga.gov.  Example – Jane.Doe@house.ga.gov.

Letter From End of the Year 2006:

Dear Valued Clients,

 I must, regretfully, inform you of the new regulations being enforced in Gwinnett County that will hinder the ability of me, as well as other Permanent Cosmetic Technicians from performing eyebrow and eyeliner procedures.  Therefore, I have made the decision to temporarily discontinue providing all Permanent Cosmetic Services at this time.  Because this is also a State of Georgia issue, several other Permanent Cosmetic Technicians and I have joined forces to attempt to have an old regulation on the books at the State level amended in order that we may continue to provide these safe and helpful procedures to the public.

For those of you that have experienced these procedures, the positive changes that they have made to make you not only feel better about your appearance but also make your life easier is evident.   You are also aware of the care taken to provide a clean, safe environment for these services, as well as, sterile equipment and supplies where needed to prevent potential infection. So that you and others may continue to enjoy these benefits, I am asking you to please support our efforts. 

In the near future I will be mailing each of you a letter with a format ready to send to your State Representatives. You will also receive a list of the Representatives that includes addresses, email addresses and phone numbers so that you may contact them easily.

Intradermal Pigmentation, another name for tattooing is a method of applying micro insertions of special pigments into the dermal layer of the skin.  This state of the art technique is specifically designed to be safe and effective to give natural looking results.  Permanent cosmetics may be used for the enhancement of eyebrows or the addition of eyeliner, lip liner or full lip color.  Other uses for permanent cosmetic procedures include improving the appearance of vitiligo, scars, and stretch marks; areolar restoration and more.

Lip Liner and or Full Lip Color

Permanent Cosmetic procedure for lip color is beautiful.  It can appear to change the size and shape of the lips as well as the color.  This procedure helps prevent the look of "lipstick bleed".  One of the most popular lip colors is a soft pink, similar to that of a newborn baby's lips, for those

 wanting a natural look.  More dramatic color can be achieved if desired.

 

 

Eyebrows

The method used to achieve an enhanced brow or to create a brow can mimic the appearance of  individual hairs in the brow line.  Anyone who finds it necessary to apply eyebrow pencil in order to look and feel their best will love this procedure.  After permanent brows have been applied, a person can swim, play tennis, work out, or hug someone special without the worry or embarrassment of losing their eyebrows.  Alopecia sufferers are pleasantly surprised at how natural their brows look.

 

Eyeliner

Permanent Eyeliner can be subtle and natural looking or dramatic and bold depending on client preference. Permanent eyeliner is an excellent choice for those who are allergic to conventional eye makeup and  contact lens users.  This procedure is done under the direct supervision of a physician as is required in this State.

Does it hurt?

Topical anesthetics are used to minimize discomfort.  A physician may  administer a local anesthetic block for ultimate control of discomfort.

 

Do I have a say in the color used?

Certainly!  There is a wide array of colors that you may choose from.

 

Do I have a choice in the placement of my permanent makeup?

Yes.  You will be an active partner during your procedure, instructing the technician on your preference for placement and shape.

 

What can I expect right after the procedure?

There will be slight swelling and redness in the area, however, this will subside quickly.  You may resume normal activities immediately afterward.  Complete healing may take up to six weeks while the pigmentation matures and reaches its final color.
